It's never too early to start thinking about what you want to be when you grow up. In fact, the earlier you start, the more you can do to plan for a better future. In middle school, you can start talking with your parents, your friends' parents, and other adults you know. Ask them about what they do, what they like about it, and even what they don't like about it. If you have a chance to 'shadow' someone doing their job for a day do it! There's no better way to find out if you'll like something!
